Day 3
Romsey - Avebury - Bath - Bradford upon Avon

We headed out of Romsey for Salisbury and onto Stonehenge for a look at the circle of stones. We had been told the best view was from the highway driving in and it was. When you get closer you can't actually get a clear look at them because of the fencing. We decided not to go in for a look and continued onto Avebury.
After leaving Stonehenge we went up through Devizes to Avebury. A very nice little village which was ringed with standing stones. The area had character and a sense of being with the stones and the large hand dug channel surrounding the village. While in the village Google street view camera was going through on a pushbike.
Walking around the stones.
Maddison taking it all in while walking around the stones.
The old village, we had a nice cup of coffee.
Guess who is being spoilt and enjoying it.
We drove down to Bath and had a great walk round. Helen would like to spend more time here next time we come back.
Maddison keeping Louisa and Matt occupied while walking around Bath.Right Pa where are we going next.
The Abbey
Entering Bradford-Upon-Avon
Avon river
We went for a walk along the canal and had a look at the house boats, it was interesting to see all the different styles.
The buildings backed onto the canal walk that we had just walked along.
We were lucky enough to see a house boat go through the loche at the top end of the village.
