Woodhall Spa - Whitby

Humber Bridge heading for Scarborough.
Discovered the set back of the motor home, made Scarborough but couldn't find any suitable parking areas. Nearly got stuck on the road up to the castle, I had to back down the road to find somewhere to turn around.
This is the van park at Hawsker.
Helen and I walked the 2 1/2 miles into the Whitby Abbey which you can just see in the centre of the picture.
Whitby Abbey, a Gothic ruin. The cemetey was amazing, head stones with husband and wives living till the age of 92 and 94 in the early 1700's. It must have been a hard life in those years.
